Mission Statement

• The mission of BESTD Clinic is to provide quality, professional sexually transmitted
  disease diagnosis and treatment as well as HIV/AIDS prevention counseling and testing
  in a manner that is sensitive to the sexual orientation and gender identity of our clients.
  BESTD Clinic provides its services at no cost.

Counseling

• Anonymous counseling both before and after your HIV test

• HIV/STD prevention and risk reduction counseling

• Medical Early Intervention for those testing positive for HIV infection

Testing

• General STDs (sexually transmitted diseases)

• Hepatitis B screening, Hepatitis A & B vaccinations

• Anonymous (no names used) or Confidential HIV tests

• Community HIV outreaches

HIV Testing OPTIONS

• Rapid: The rapid test will allow us to give you a result today. It is a single drop
  of blood from a finger stick. If you are not prepared to receive a result today,
  another type of test is suggested.

• Blood Draw: This test involves drawing a tube of blood from your arm. You will
  receive your results in one or two weeks. If you are having other testing done today
  and need to return next week for other results, you may want to consider this test.
  It is important that you come back to the clinic for this result; we cannot give the
  results of HIV tests by phone.

• Oral: This test does not involve any needles. A swab is placed in your mouth for
  3 minutes. Results are ready in one to two weeks. It is important that you come
  back to the clinic for this result; we cannot give the results of HIV tests by phone.
