New Rapid HIV Test OK'd by FDA

On Tuesday, Chembio Diagnostics Inc. said the Food and Drug
Administration has approved its rapid HIV tests. The approval permits
the marketing of the Sure Check HIV and HIV 1/2 Stat-Pak to clinical
laboratories and hospitals in the United States. Chembio said the
tests requires a very small sample of whole blood obtained by finger
stick and delivers results in about 15 minutes.
